Faith Hatch pursued a life in music from a young age. Brought up in a musical family, Faith began taking piano lessons at age four and was singing in a church band by age eight. She was heavily involved in music in high school, including holding leading roles in musicals, show choir, band, and Madison Youth Choirs which led to her acceptance into the music department at University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. Over the course of her college career, Faith has had the opportunity to perform with and learn from several incredible musicians such as Matt Wilson, Janet Planet, and Mathew Buchman. In February of 2017, she had the experience of singing on Carnegie Hall’s stage with the Honors Performance Series in New York; an auditioned choir that holds workshops around the world under the instruction of today’s most talented choir directors.

Faith graduated from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a BA in Performing Arts. During her college career she was honored to be featured as a soloist with the UWSP Jazz Ensemble on many occasions and held leadership roles within the jazz department as Vice President of Jazz Society and as a Jazz Honors Intern, organizing listening sessions at the Smith Scarabocchio Art Gallery downtown Stevens Point and teaching music lessons at the Boys and Girls’ Club.

 

Today, Faith performs regularly in the Milwaukee area, expanding to Madison, Chicago, and Kenosha. She has curated a number of shows including tribute shows to Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Joni Mitchell, and Nina Simone, Valentine’s Day shows, Christmas shows, and more. Faith has led a number of workshops for young musicians including Milwaukee’s summer girls’ camp Girls Rock and presented a masterclass to the contemporary and jazz vocal studios at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Faith performs both solo, accompanied by piano, and with a wide variety of bands in the Milwaukee area. She can be found most frequently at The Estate, Bar Centro, Saint Kate, Blu, and The Stella Hotel (Kenosha). Faith also teaches voice and piano lessons through Mozart’s Gym.
